What to expect at this year’s Gala

Bring your partner, bring your friends, and dress to party like it’s 1999!

You’ll arrive to the venue and upon check-in will be greeted with a welcome drink.

Enjoy the no-host bar while snacking on appetizers and mingling with other glamourous supporters in their 90s prom best.

When you sit down, you’ll be greeted with some cheesy fun old-school activities. Have fun with these while waiting for your turn at our delicious buffet dinner. Make sure to get your prom photo taken at our professional photo booth, give generously during our many donation opportunities, learn more about what we provide for our schools, and finally get your groove on at the end of the evening on the dance floor!

Here’s how to support The Foundation during the event

Buy Corsages and Boutonnieres

We will have corsages and boutonnieres for sale! They are artificial flowers, which makes them both affordable AND long-lasting. Your prom photos will feel even more 90s-authentic while wearing these fun much-needed accessories.

Spin the Bottle! (Wine Wall)

Most galas have a wine wall – where you pay a flat donation and get a surprise bottle of wine. Ours takes this concept and gives it a little old-school twist with Spin the Bottle! Simply spin the bottle and wherever it lands, that wine is yours to take home. While you can take the wrapped bottle with you to the table, you are not permitted to uncork until you get home.

Heads or Tails 50/50 Raffle

Each entry gives you a bead necklace to wear, and when it’s time to play, stand up and vote for heads (touch your head) or tails (touch your bottom). A coin toss determines if you get to keep your necklace or remove it. The last person standing with necklaces on is the winner! (Winner gets 50% of money collected for this game.)

Paddle Raise

The paddle raise is a simple, rewarding, practical way to support our schools. During this portion of the evening, simply raise your paddle with your unique number on it when you would like to donate the stated amount.

Dessert Dash

After dinner, get ready for an exciting dessert dash! Take a peek at the dessert table filled with enough treats for each table. Write your donation amount on the card provided – the highest bidding table dashes first to claim their favorite dessert. It’s fast-paced, delightful chaos as our emcee calls out tables in quick succession. Enjoy delicious cakes, pies, or cookies, all generously donated by local businesses.
